"All art is a kind of confession, more or less oblique. All artists, if they are to survive, are forced, at last, to tell the whole story; to vomit the anguish up." -James Baldwin-
This photo is of my sister only in color it didn't look that great. Once I cropped it, adjusted the lighting and colors and saturation, I Photoshopped this portrait to black and white and now it looks stunning in terms of being artistic. I cropped this one so close there truly is no background, but this photo was taken outside in the park during a family picnic.
The arms may be distracting, but her face definitely has such strong characteristics in black and white. The lighting is great and erased any blemishes. This photograph is one of my new favorites, but it took me a long time on the Photoshop to fix.

My sister and her friend are sunbathing on the beach in the Atlantic Ocean in this portrait and snapshot. The swimsuits are bright but one really notices the beautiful blue ocean as a cool background. I like this photo but don't know if it qualifies as artistic or anything. Oh well - it was a cool vacation and I could use another right now!!!
